Summary: Since acquiring the Sight twenty years ago, relations between the Humans and the five mystical races (Elves, Shifters, Dwarfs, Dragons, and Sprites) have been on thin ice, another war is on the horizon, this time between the Humans and the other races. Though relations are still tough between the other races their rapidly decreasing populations (due to being hunted by groups of Humans) have caused them to create an alliance with each other.

"Magazine's are stupid," Eloise mumbled as she flipped through the flimsy magazine. "Do humans have nothing better to write about than relationships, makeup, and weight control?" She sighed and tossed it back onto the table in front of her.

The kid hadn't woken up again yet, so she'd drifted out of the room and to a waiting room down the hall, hoping to find some entertainment. No such luck.

"Gah!" She stood up quickly, almost falling, to pull her vibrating phone from her pocket. The stupid thing always surprised her. "Fahvin," she stated after pressing the green button on the touch screen.

"What did you find at the house."

Aubithine. Of course. "Not much, there was a lot of fire damage and the back yard was a mess. We didn't find Aurora but we did find her son, Silesadane. He was pretty bad off so we assumed that there was a fight and they took Aurora afterwards."

"Where is Uvvia? Her phone isn't receiving my calls." Right to the next point, Eloise sighed.

"She's with the humans, looking to protect them from Aurora I guess." Dial tone. Eloise couldn't tell if that meant the woman was angry but she didn't care enough to think about it as she headed back to the boy's room.

"Friends... I need friends..." Wyn dropped off the side of the 'cliff-hill' and landed gracefully by the branches of several trees. With a couple of quick strides he had made it back to the 'real world' behind a human apartment. There was a small gathering of trees a ways off behind the apartment and Wyn began to eave the cover. 'Fuck!' Wyn tripped and stumbled over a large loose stone. "What the..." The turned over stone revealed a small old fashioned, but well kept key. "Oh how beautiful... I'll be taking this" Wyn held it up to the moonlight, then slipped it into his pocket, "All mine"

Laura closed her eyes, "If you want to know so badly, you'll have to call him. Greg did not tell me where he was headed this time,"

Skye frowned. That was unusual. Greg didn't usually hold any information back from Laura. "Ah! Right! I'll call him!" she exclaimed and ignored Jordan's rolling eyes. She pulled her cell from her back pocket quickly and headed to a quiet corner where the rest of the group wouldn't eavesdrop, though she knew they would try.

She dialed the number, having it memorized due to calling it so often, and placed the cell to her ear.

Greg answered after a couple of rings. "Skylar,"

He never called her Skye. He was always serious. "Yo, Greg. Got a question for you," she pushed Jordan away with a warning look. The last thing she needed was him blurting out the truth to Greg. "Where you headed?"

"None of your concern, Skylar," was Greg's non-emotional reply.

Skye clenched her teeth briefly before taking a deep breath. "Listen, Aurora's dangerous. I... have a bad feeling. I think you should call this whole thing off."

"Really?" his response wasn't promising. "I don't know where this is coming from but it isn't like you. Be a good girl and take care of everything while I'm gone. I will be back before morning, if all goes well."

"No, Greg, really -"

"Goodnight," and she got the dial tone as he ended the call.

"Asshole," Skye muttered and then looked at Shell. "Well, we can either wait till he gets back or we can try to find him. Either way, it sounds like your Aurora went willingly so I doubt she's going to suddenly go ballistic or something. Maybe she's got a reason."

Shell sighed. "She's very unpredictable so I'm not too surprised that I wasn't able to correctly predict her course of action at the moment. But...she's still a danger to your people."

Eloise returned to the chair closest to the boy's bed. She wiped her eyes a few times, hoping that just doing that would make her less tired and bored.

"Miss?" She felt a hand tap her arm. She looked up to see the boy's sky blue eyes staring back at her.

"Oh," Eloise gave him a small smile, "you're awake."

"Where am I?" His voice was strained, he was still a ways from being fully healed.

"A room in the hospital," she answered him softly, "I wanted you to have somewhere to rest easy while your body heals itself." He looked away from her and up to the ceiling.

"I wasn't able to help her, even after twenty years I'm still a burden...June would hit me."

Wyn looked down to his wrist watch, "Hmph... 2:00am." He decided against visiting Finnian till the morning. "Back to Cori's..."

Craig glanced at Greg in the passenger seat questioningly and then in the rearview mirror at Iron and the supernatural beside him. He sighed slightly, "What did Skye want?"

Greg made a noise of disapproval, looking out at the dark sky passing by. "She was acting weird. Saying this was a bad idea and shit," Greg muttered.

Craig frowned, "This coming from reckless Skye? That is weird."

Iron cackled, leaning forward and blocking Craig's view of the supernatural. "I bet something happened! I bet the little girl's turned into a wimp!"

"Shut up, Shawn," snapped Greg, causing Iron to wince at the use of his real name. "Craig, keep your eyes on the road. The last thing we need is an accident,"

"Yes sir," Craig murmured, turning his gaze back to the road. They were headed out of town, to a place Greg had connections with. Craig glanced quickly in the rearview mirror at the girl again, but she seemed out of it. Well, at least she didn't look like she was going to kill them. The last time Greg had impulsively decided a kidnapping was in order, they'd lost six of their members. And that supernatural had been nothing compared to this one: Aurora.

"Skye, what's going on?" Laura asked, tucking clasped hands under her chin and looking from Skye to Shell.

Skye ran a hand through her hair and then sat on the table next to Laura. "I didn't have a choice," she muttered. "There were two supernaturals there, Jordan was useless and you all left. I made a deal with Shell to bring her to Aurora. She says Aurora is dangerous and could kill all of us. I was worried about Rory and Reese, all right? Anyone's got a problem with my decision, they can kiss my ass."

Laura sighed while Cayden muttered something he was lucky Skye missed. "Relax," Laura murmured. "I just wanted to know what you were thinking. I understand. I'll question no more."

Skye snorted, shrugged and glanced at Shell, "What are you going to do?"

"Leave, I suppose," Shell stated. "I have superiors to report back to."

Eloise sighed and leaned back in the chair, "Can you tell me what happened?"

The back door was unlocked like always and 1yn made his way in. The back was very... Stiff and dusty. Obviously Cori never got around his house much and imagined that he only stayed in the main room, maybe even sleep there. 'So old....'

"You're not serious,"

Skye looked up as Bianca, Jordan's older sister, stalked towards them. "What's your deal?"

"You bring a supernatural here, to the middle of the group, and ask her quite nicely what she plans to do? Like she has a choice? Now we've got two of them! We should tie her up and use her as extra baggage against the rest of the lot!" Bianca perched on Laura's table, folding thin arms across her flat chest.

There were cries and nods from the rest of the group as the majority of them agreed. Skye curled a hand into a fist, wondering what she should do. Help the supernatural or stick with her group?

Shell scoffed, "I'm not nearly important enough to use as leverage for whatever the hell else you people have planned."

Danny nodded. "I was in the kitchen using a ring to talk to June while I made myself a sandwich, then I started to smell a lot of smoke. Mama was out of town, she didn't tell me where she had to go, so I went to figure out what was burning. It didn't take me more than a minute to figure out that it was most of the house that was on fire." He stopped before he could start his next sentence, his throat feeling dry and constricted. He was thankful that the Earth Sprite was quick to hand him a paper cup filled with water that had previously been sitting on the nightstand. "I got out without getting burned but the entire house was surrounded by humans. After that it's all fuzzy. There was a lot of shouting but I can't remember why I was shot, or who shot me first. I don't remember who many times either, before Mama appeared. I was in the snow by then but still conscious enough to hear pieces of their conversation. It was a ploy for her to go with them, I realized then, if they hurt me enough they figured that she'd leave with them quietly. I tried...I tried to get back up but it hurt too much to move. I thought I was going to die," he smirked a bit," it hurt so much...but I just lost consciousness eventually, after they took her away."

From the back room he headed through a small room to another door which lead into the open hallway. At the end was the front door and if you turn left at the end, you reach the stairs. He decided to walk immediately left to the basement door. When he opened he headed down the dark stairways to a rough and cold teenage room with a very large round padded mattress. Here he morphed into a dragon in the large room and curled up on the bed. Dust caused him to snort before snoring off to sleep.
